Thank you for being part of this year’s Running for Hope event! Supporters like you are the heart and soul and true success of this great event. Running for Hope is all about bringing families and friends together to help raise money to benefit two great causes. 100% of the proceeds from this run goes directly back to the Ronald McDonald House® near Advocate Children’s Hospital and Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn.

These two beneficiaries impact the community in a positive way day in and day out. Advocate Children’s Hospital (ACH) is the largest network provider of pediatric services in Illinois and among the top 10 in the nation. The hospital is staffed by more than 400 pediatricians and 230 pediatric subspecialists who offer a wide range of specialized services for children. This year specifically, our funding will go to help benefit the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division. Many families are affected by cancer every day, and unfortunately, some of those fighting the true fight are kids themselves. In honor of all those who have fought cancer, we will recognize National Cancer Survivors Day at our event.

Our other beneficiary, The Ronald McDonald House® near Advocate Children’s Hospital, is located directly across the street from the hospital and allows families to eat, sleep and find the emotional support they need just steps from where their child is being treated. Since opening in 2008, the House has served as a ‘home away from home’ for more than 40,000 family nights of care during hospital stays for their young children.

The success of our event depends on your efforts through the participation and fundraising of Running for Hope. Celebrating our 12th year, we want to continue to bring families and community together to help raise money for our beneficiaries. To date, our organization has raised close to a MILLION dollars for the hospital and House. With your help and determination we are very motivated with our goal to reach the 1 million dollar mark!
