Welcome to My Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my personal page. As most of you know, Zachary Nolan was born at 37 weeks at 7lbs 10oz. It was discovered in utero that he had a very complex congenital heart defect. Unbeknownst to us, he also had a congenital diaphragmatic hernia which was found during a bedside echocardiogram in NICU after delivery. Zachary required immediate intervention to have the hernia repaired.
Zachary successfully underwent this procedure while being just days old. Zachary was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome (there wasnt enough tissue left after previous testing in utero to catch microdeletions only the major chromosomal defects)
Zachary was 9 weeks old when he passed away. He was our miracle. The Ronald McDonald house at Advocate Children's Hospital allowed me to be close to him and spend every waking hour by his side. If it wasnt for the volunteers there I would not have eaten a single meal on my own. The home cooked food that was provided daily by the volunteers was delicious and comforting.
Every year, we make a donation in memory of Zachary Nolan Marcheschi on his birthday, September 10, to the The Ronald McDonald house near Advocate Children's Hospital Oak Lawn The Ronald McDonald house near Advocate Children's Hospital Oak Lawn. Zach would be turning 5 this year. We very much talk about him with Samantha and Nathan. They know his name. They know he is their brother. And we will keep talking about his life and how much of an inspiration a baby can truly be. He is my hero- My Super Zach.
Thank you for being part of this year’s Running for Hope event! Supporters like you are the heart and soul and true success of this great event. Running for Hope is all about bringing families and friends together to help raise money to benefit two great causes. 100% of the proceeds from this run goes directly back to the Ronald McDonald House® near Advocate Children’s Hospital and Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn.
These two beneficiaries impact the community in a positive way day in and day out. Advocate Children’s Hospital (ACH) is the largest network provider of pediatric services in Illinois and among the top 10 in the nation. The hospital is staffed by more than 400 pediatricians and 230 pediatric subspecialists who offer a wide range of specialized services for children. This year specifically, our funding will go to help benefit the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division. Many families are affected by cancer every day, and unfortunately, some of those fighting the true fight are kids themselves. In honor of all those who have fought cancer, we will recognize National Cancer Survivors Day at our event.
