2012 Run Information Sheet                  Packet Pick-up

Date:  Sunday, June 3, 2012                              Thursday, May 31, 5-8 pm               
Time:  8:00 a.m. start                                       Saturday, June 2, 10 am - 2pm
KidsDash:  9:15 a.m.                                                                          
                                                                     
*Please note that you can pick up packets for others (family/friends) as well.
 

 

Parking:  Free parking is available in the Advocate Christ Hospital Employee Parking Lot located at 94th and Keeler across from Target.

 

Gear Check:  Gear check will be available near registration.  Your gear will be checked according to your number.  We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.  Do not check anything of value.

 

Restrooms:  Portable restrooms will be available near registration and start/finish of race.

 

Participant Number:  Please pin your participant number on the FRONT of your outer layer of clothing.  This number must be visible at the finish line in order to be eligible for awards.

 

Timing:  This is a timed race.  Please make sure to go through the chutes at the finish line and have the tab from your bib number pulled.

 

Water Stations/First Aid:  Water will be available along the course and the finish line.  An ambulance will be on-site at the finish line.

 

Splits and Timing:  Volunteers will be at miles 1 & 2 with split times.  Finish times will be displayed on digital clocks at the finish line.

 

Finish Line:  Volunteers will have water at the finish line.  After finishing we ask that everyone make their way back to the park for more refreshments and to watch the Kids Dash.  If you wish to stay to cheer on fellow participants at the run, please stand on the street and not on the lawns. 

 

Awards:  The top three overall male and top three overall female winners, as well as the top three men and women in the following age groups:  14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over, along with a wheelchair division for top female/male overall.  Awards will not be duplicated.  Results will be posted at cararuns.org and active.com  (Please note:  On day of race, awards will be given out to top female/male in each category; all other awards must be picked up at the Ronald McDonald House.)

 

Post Race Activities:  Kids Dash, refreshments, music, and awards ceremony will take place following the run/walk in Keeler Park (93rd and Keeler).
