Last year the Running for Hope Association hosted the fourth annual Running for Hope 5k run/fun walk and raised over $80,000 for the Ronald McDonald House® near Hope, and Hope Children's Hospital. With hosting over 1,400 community participants, corporate partners, patients and families at this event, we again surpassed our goals above and beyond. We are excited to announce that our 5th annual run with help to once again benefit Hope Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.
Advocate Hope Children's Hospital, located on the medical campus of Advocate Christ Medical Center, is the largest free-standing pediatric medical facility in the south and southwest suburbs. The hospital offers a Level 111c neonatal intensive care unit, one of the largest pediatric cardiology programs in Illinois, and an internationally recognized pediatric hematology and oncology division. Hope Children's Hospital is staffed with more than 175 physicians, representing 30 specialties and subspecialties. The 69-bed institution has expanded its services to families by partnering with
Ronald McDonald House near Hope®. This house is a "Home away from Home" for families of pediatric patients being treated at Hope Children's Hospital. Charitable gifts support the operational costs of the house since families are asked to pay a suggested donation of $10 per night but the actual cost is over $50 per night per family to operate a room.
